Kerala government to open research centre for Keltron

Kerala government is planning to revive old Keltron, the public sector which made television and electronic products till 1990s. Now, the company is languishing and now there are plans to set up a research centre with an investment of ₹ 20 million in initial phase which involves chemical laboratory, digital library and other modern labs.

It also plans to recruit science professors to provide fillip to the project. The research centre is being named on Mr. KPP Nambiar Memorial Electronics Research Centre (KPPNMERC) who is the founder of Keltron.
