FMPL is a highly experienced Engineering and Techno-Commercial Consultancy Organisation which has been actively associated with the development in the Power Sector in India since 1986. Initially working as distributors of boiler spare parts for Combustion Engineering USA, and Turbine Spares for ABB Berlin, it has played a significant role in opening up of the Power Sector to private investments.
In India, much of the credit of pioneering the concept of Comprehensive Refurbishment of Old Power Stations and establishing it as the most effective and economic means for restoring ageing power stations to their rated capacities is given to FMPL; who also secured the first ever comprehensive refurbishing of 4 x 110 MW units at Panipat Thermal Power Project for ABB Kraftwerke, Berlin, with KFW assistance.
FMPL entered the field of Hydropower development in association with Scott Wilson Piesold (Formerly Knight + Piesold) with the aim of providing consultancy services and developing hydro-electric projects. The FMPL/ SWP association has been pre-qualified and registered by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) of India for rendering consultancy for Renovation, Modernization & Uprating (RM & U) of Hydro-electric Power Stations.
