Torrent Power is one of the early entrant when power sector was opened up in the Indian Power sector scene. It acquired erstwhile Ahmedabad Electricity Co Ltd and Surat Electricity Co Ltd. Currently, the company has 1647.5 MW and distributes around 10 billion units of power to industrial suburbs of Ahmedabad, Surat and Gandhinagar.
