Bongfiglioli, an Italian based company design, manufacture and distribute a complete range of gearmotors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes, inverters and photovoltaic cells. They cater to sector like wind power, earthmoving equipments, industrial equipments etc.,
Its Indian operations started in 1999, when the company had set up a factory near Chennai catering to domestic and exports market.
In October 2016, the company is planning to set up a new plant in Thirumudivakkam near Chennai in Tamil Nadu with an investment of Rs. 850 million. In addition, it will also set up a new facility by March 2017 in Chakan, Pune. The facility will be set up on an area of 45,000 sq ft and will have a manufacturing capacity of 1,50,000 units.
