Goa government is planning an electronic manufacturing cluster in Tuem in Pernem taluka in North Goa. To facilitate the same, the state government has recently approved a new land allotment policy. As per the proposed policy, allotment of plots for purposes other than for industrial use shall be done through auction, wherein plots, sheds, godowns or built-up space would be allotted on a lease basis to the highest bidder. For mega projects, the allotment will be done on a case by case basis by the cabinet.
InfoTech Corporation of Goa has been identified as the implementing agency.
