Escorts Ltd is planning to expand an expansion programme at its machining division through its joint venture partner Kubota Corp of Japan. The company will be investing ₹ 250 crore on capital expansion and new product development. It plans to set up a new production facility with a capacity of 50,000 units.
The company is producing premium segment tractors and agricultural equipment which exists a potential for export markets too. The JV between Escorts and Kubota of 40:60 will involve producing premium tractors.
