BEML has received order for supplying 42 coaches for Bangalore Metro Rail project. The order, comprising seven train sets of six cars each, is in addition to earlier order from BMRCL for supply of 150 intermediate metro car units last year . The total cost of the contract is worth of ₹ 4,000 million.
BEML is also supplying metro coaches for Kolkata East -West Metro project , Mumbai Metro (Line 2, 2A & 7). It may be noted that, BEML has so far supplied nearly 1500 metro coaches to various Metro Rail Corporations across the country like, Delhi Metro, Bangalore Metro, Jaipur Metro, Kolkata Metro.
