The incandescent bulb which dominated the market is declining with lesser than 25% share now. With the industry moving to energy efficient lighting there had been a significant growth in LED lighting products. Indian market is also moving up the value chain and there is rising demand for products like mood lighting, LED candles and decorative lighting products. Solar lighting has gained focus with India being a tropical country with sunshine for most part of year.
With thrust in highway infrastructure, there is a demand for lighting equipment over the highways for safety reasons.
