Super Auto Forge Private Limited (SAF) was started in 1974 and this year is its 40th year of existence. Today SAF is the largest manufacturer of Cold & Warm forged components in India and for some of the product families like CV Joints, Aluminium Braking parts The company has five manufacturing locations, one annexed to the registered office and other four located in Medavakkam, Kolapakkam, Thirumudivakkam and Tambaram (in and around Chennai, Tamil Nadu).
The company has a press capacity ranging from 100 tons to 2,500 tons. The company has two fully owned subsidiaries, Super Auto Forge Inc, USA and Super Auto Forge BVBA, Belgium (incorporated during 2012-13). These two entities are engaged in the distribution of Aluminum brake parts and steering components in the North American and European markets which are procured exclusively from Indian parent company SAF.
