Signet Products Pvt Ltd was incorporated in 1998 by Mr Narendra Korde and his wife, Ms Vaidehi Korde. SPPL is a flagship company of
the Pune-based Signet group. The group has an established presence in providing end-to-end services to the power sector. The group has
two other companies, viz, Nipko Engineering Services Private Limited (NESPL;
and SS Control Systems Private Limited (SSCPL). The company started its commercial operations in 1999 with trading and installation of
metering systems, current transformers, energy meters and custom designed enclosures for commercial establishments. Over the years,
SPPL diversified its business operations by entering into various electrical engineering solutions and data communication networking
solutions. The company also provides engineering and transmission services to high power transmission projects. In FY14 (refers to the
period April 1 to March 31), the consultancy and engineering solutions segment contributed around 6% and
trading of electrical equipments contributed 94% of the sales.
