Gionee Communication Equipment Co. Ltd. was founded in September 2002 by Liu Rong in China. It is a high-tech enterprise that focuses on R&D, production and sale of cellular mobile devices. In 2005, Gionee obtained the GSM and CDMA mobile phone production license in China. It came to India in the year 2011.
In July 2016, the company has launched F103 Pro smartphone in India at Rs 11099. The dual SIM smartphone comes with Amigo 3.2 UI running on top of Android 6.0 operating system. The device comes with 4G VoLTE support and runs quad core processor. It features a 5 inch water drop glass display. On the storage front it offers 3G RAM with 16 GB ROM expandable up to 128 GB.
